Karunesh Bajaj, executive vice-president of marketing & exports, ITC, is expected to become the chairman of the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) for 2025-26, succeeding current incumbent Riyad Mathew, chief associate editor and director of the Malayala Manorama Group, media website e4m reported, quoting sources.

The website also reported that Mohit Jain, chief operating officer and board member, Bennett, Coleman and Co, and the current honorary secretary, is likely to be vice-chairman, replacing Bajaj, who currently occupies the post.

The transition is likely to happen after the upcoming annual general meeting (AGM) on September 2. E4m quoted Riyad Mathew as saying, “This is a yearly cycle. Every year, a new chair and vice chair are elected for ABC.”

The bureau issues ABC certificates every six months to member publishers whose circulation data complies with its rules and regulations.
