A prominent digital printing company based in Kochi (Kerala), Photopark is a photo printing hub with a strong machine portfolio comprising an array of highly-advanced printing machines and a line of post-press or print finishing equipment. The post-press line has recently been upgraded with the addition of a PixelGlow Lumina, a digital UV embellishment system, bought from Monotech Systems

Monotech indigenously makes the PixelGlow Lumina machines. In recent times, the installation base of this compact UV digital enhancement machine has been expanding with gradual inclusion of new and prominent clients like Photopark. On why they chose the PixelGlow Lumina, Louis Francis, managing director of Photopark, says, “This print enhancement machine, which is ‘Made in India’ by Monotech Systems, is an amazing piece.”

Francis adds, “It has been just a matter of three months or so since we installed and started running this PixelGlow Lumina in our production setup. We are now in a very first phase of testing the full capabilities of this UV embellishment machine. So far, what we come to know about this UV print embellishment machine is that it boasts advanced features and capabilities. After all, it is comparatively a very cost-efficient machine of its kind available in the Indian market.”

Flexibly capable to take in maximum paper size up to 14”x20” for larger and more dynamic prints, PixelGlow Lumina embellishes graphic prints in crystal-clear resolution of 600 x 600 dpi for unmatched graphic textures and details. When it comes to productivity and the machine’s flexibility with substrates, this UV print embellishment system can deliver 60 sph which eventually keeps up with Photopark’s fast-paced production. It handles varied media ranging from 130 gsm up to 600 gsm.

Since its inception in the year 2012, Photopark has been a treasure trove of premium quality photos. The company’s production facility is equipped with the most advanced and versatile range of machines such as two HP Indigo 7K Presses, Canon DreamLabo 5000, Scodix, and a couple of Monotech Pixeljet digital large-format printers and others.

In this respect, Francis says they never ever remain inactive when it comes to investing in the latest machines or technologies which are aligned with the ongoing trends to redefine new applications in the market. That’s one of the reasons why they have recently added the PixelGlow Lumina to their line of print enhancement machines.

Francis says in addition to the amazing UV print embellishment machine, they are delighted to be partnered with Monotech Systems whose machines are laudable and after-sales service beyond compare. Francis, who has a long experience of around three decades in photo lab, is joined by his son Rohit Louis in the business.

Moving forward, Photopark is now on the road to new print innovations and applications as they plan to foray into the realms of printing labels, personalized package graphics, greeting cards, invitations, etc, with a line of new machines in the near future.
