Komori India says it secured 19 new orders for its advanced multi-color sheetfed offset printing presses from a diverse group of companies spanning the book publishing, commercial printing, and packaging sectors at Printpack India 2025.

The 19 Komori presses include 13 units of the Lithrone GL437, Enthrone 429 (2 units) and 529 (1 unit); Lithrone GL-640A +C IR UV (2 units) and Lithrone GL 637+ C IR UV (1 unit).

Jun Sudo, president of Komori India, said, “We appreciate the trust and confidence our clients have shown in Komori. Your orders reinforce our commitment to delivering excellence and innovation in the printing industry.”

Sudo said in an exclusive interaction with the IPP Group, “This is my first Printpack exhibition and we have built quite a good pipeline for prospective customers. Going forward, I hope to follow up with these leads and close as many orders as possible. With 19 new orders, we received more than expected results at Printpack.”

He said he visited Vijayshri Packaging in Indore and many customers in Delhi-NCR since Indian Printer and Publisher last met him at the Komori office in Faridabad (in July 2024), adding it is interesting to see how the customers work, the environment that they work in. “I hope we can come up with a new solution to have better results together.”

Among the notable orders, Bengaluru-based Kamsri Techo Pack acquired a 6-color Lithrone GL-640A +C, a solution for high-end packaging applications. Kundli (Haryana)-based Office Now booked two Lithrone GL437 presses, taking their total to five Komori presses. Delhi-based Chawla Printers, another customer operating two Enthrone E429 presses, added a new Lithrone GL437 to its fleet.

Komori India also highlighted KP-Connect at its stand, a cloud-based system that allows users to visualize press production and operating conditions anytime, anywhere.

Out of the 19 presses, four were for packaging applications while the remaining 15 were for commercial printing and book printing applications. All machines ordered at Printpack will be delivered in FY 25-26, company officials said.

Sudo added, “Our team at Komori India has already begun working on delivering the solutions we discussed during the event. We are dedicated to ensuring a seamless experience for our customers and remain committed to supporting their growth. I thank them for the trust and partnership.”

The Komori India team was joined by seven senior members from Komori Corporation (Tokyo) in sales and service.

Jitender Rohilla, general manager – sales at Komori India, said, “The five days of Printpack were exhilarating. We thank our customers for their support and trust in Komori. Their confidence enables us to continue delivering advanced printing solutions to the market. . . “More than 50% of the 19 new orders were repeat orders from our customers.”

The Komori stand was divided into smaller segments, Rohilla said, adding Komori had a spare parts booth where it offered up to 35% discount and a separate segment for KP-Connect.

The stand had a packaging segment where it showed printed samples from three of its biggest customers – Weepac from Surat, Hyderabad-based Pragati Offset, and Mumbai-based Globe Print n Pack, Rohilla said, adding that they had some packaging samples from Japan as well.

The stand featured folding machines from MBO and H+H products, where Komori promoted brand partners. “We have good solutions for packaging with different sizes starting from 29 to 44 inches – we have 4-5 sizes for different needs in packaging. The stand virtually promoted Komori’s 8-color perfection machines with two models – GL837P and LP140,” Rohilla said.

The packaging industry is growing, Rohilla said, adding there is a trend of commercial printers shifting to packaging. There is a huge gap and Komori intends to fill it, he said. “Printers are going for automation even in packaging. We installed 50 machines in FY 24-25 and our target is to install 60 machines by 31 March 2025. We installed packaging machines in Ahmedabad at York Print and Canpac Trends, Arihant Printers in Kolkata, and Thangam in Chennai with one more machine coming in Chennai. We have installed printing and packaging machines in Mumbai and North India,” he added.
