Valmet to deliver its first IQ Moisturizer for a kraft machine to Sri Andal in India

Valmet will deliver a Valmet IQ Moisturizer to Sri Andal Paper Mills in Sathyamangalam, India. This order is part of Sri Andal Paper Mills’ quality improvement initiatives for its kraft paper production.

The order is included in Valmet’s orders received of the fourth quarter of 2024. The delivery is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025. The value of the order is not disclosed.

Valmet IQ Moisturizer is a moisturizing system with applications for moisture cross-direction profiling, curl control, and smooth moisture level increase. It features an air-atomized spray nozzle, a linear water control valve, and a mist removal system. The system is designed to optimize the CD moisture profile, ensuring higher reel build quality and consistent end-product performance.

The solution is part of the Valmet IQ Quality Management Solutions for monitoring and optimizing process performance and end-product quality.
