Hubergroup has officially launched its new ink series, Dynamica, at Printpack India, marking its global debut in the country. The innovative ink is designed for high-speed, high-production commercial printing and packaging applications.

Speaking at the event, Richard Gill and Prasanta Sarkar of Hubergroup highlighted the significance of this launch. “Dynamica is a newly developed, color-intensive, and fast-setting ink series tailored for high-quality books, brochures, and catalogs,” said Gill. He said extensive beta testing had been conducted in India and across Asia with impressive results. The ink is jointly developed by research teams in India and Germany, making it a significant collaborative effort.

Sarkar said there is a vast potential in the Indian market for Dynamica. “Indian printers typically seek high-gloss, highly pigmented inks for excellent mileage and fast drying times. As offset printing competes with digital, printers require inks that set quickly and support short-run jobs,” he said.

The company spent over two years refining the formulation and conducting rigorous trials on various machines and substrates. The result is a versatile ink series suitable not just for commercial printing but also for packaging.

Dynamica is cradle to cradle-certified and free from PTFE wax, ensuring sustainability and compliance with regulatory requirements,” said Sarkar. “Additionally, its magenta color has a bluish tone, offering a unique advantage.”

Beyond Dynamica, Hubergroup also showcased its comprehensive range of mineral oil-free packaging inks. These low-migration, low-odour inks cater specifically to food packaging on non-absorbent substrates.

A key differentiator for Hubergroup is its fully integrated production facility in Gujarat, ensuring consistency in product standards globally. “Unlike other manufacturers that import products, we develop and produce everything in India,” Sarkar noted.

Reflecting on Printpack India, Gill said, “This is my first time at Printpack India, and the response has been incredible. The enthusiasm and turnout have been truly impressive, making this a very successful show for us.”
