Achieving a major milestone in its Southeast Asia strategy, Bindwel Technologies has completed its first installation at PT Yudhistira Ghalia Indonesia, one of Indonesia’s premier publishing houses. This installation is part of Bindwel’s focused efforts to strengthen its footprint in the region, supported by the establishment of a dedicated service center in Jakarta.
The installation includes the Bindwel BW@2500 V24 and Trimit 30C— bookbinding solutions tailored to meet the rigorous demands of high-volume book production. Founded in 1971 as part of the Ghalia Indonesia Group, PT Yudhistira Ghalia Indonesia is known for publishing educational materials ranging from elementary to vocational schoolbooks and college textbooks.
The publishing house produces over 50 million books annually, powered by an impressive press lineup, including web offset presses from Solna and TPH, sheetfed presses from Heidelberg, Komori, and Mitsubishi, as well as perfect binding lines from Wohlenberg and Yoshino.
Partnership built on trust and expertise

Expressing his satisfaction, Edfian Noerdin, Chairman of PT Yudhistira Ghalia Indonesia, said,”During my visit to New Delhi, I toured some of India’s top book printers. Every one of them used bookbinding machines from Bindwel. I was impressed by their technology and their ability to meet global standards, which influenced my decision to invest in their equipment.”
This partnership was facilitated by Handoko Fariady, Bindwel’s representative in Indonesia. With over 25 years of collaboration with Noerdin, Fariady played a pivotal role in the project’s success. His longstanding relationship with Yudhistira, built through previous installations of TPH web offset presses and Yoshino binders, reinforced the trust and confidence necessary to bring Bindwel into the fold.
Expanding regional operations with Jakarta Service Centre
Bindwel says its commitment to Southeast Asia is further evidenced by its plans to launch a dedicated service center in Jakarta, ensuring faster service, efficient after-sales support, and closer ties with its customers in the region. This strategic move underscores Bindwel’s focus on not just delivering cutting-edge technology but also offering personalized support tailored to regional needs.
Mayur Bharate, director for Exports at Bindwel, highlighted the significance of this step, stating, “This installation at Yudhistira is a proud moment for us. It showcases our ability to deliver world-class bookbinding solutions while strengthening partnerships with industry leaders. The Jakarta service center will reinforce our commitment to the Southeast Asian market, allowing us to respond swiftly and provide exceptional customer support.”
A vision for the future
With this strategic expansion, Bindwel is poised to make a substantial impact in Southeast Asia’s publishing industry. The combination of innovative technology, localized service, and a customer-centric approach positions the company as a trusted partner for the region’s growing demand for high-quality book production.
