At drupa 2024, HP, supported by a comprehensive partner ecosystem, highlighted eight automated production lines capable of handling 80 jobs and 25 different applications in the industrial print segment. In the large-format business, in Hall 17, HP showcased new solutions that meet the print service providers’ high-level demands and optimize the work process — V12 press, the HP Indigo 200k digital press, and the HP PageWide Advantage 2200 press.

“We have defined a course, and we stay committed to it,” Haim Levit, senior vice president and division president of HP Industrial Print, said. “Industry transformation requires significant investments, innovation, and collaboration with partners to help our customers grow profitably, and faster than the industry.”

The HP PageWide Advantage 2200 press for commercial printing

Talking about the HP PageWide Advantage 2200 press, which is aimed at the commercial market, Levit said it has received an excellent response. He said there are already multiple presses running in the market. “The response from the market has been very good. There are already more than 12 presses in the market. The V12 press, designed for efficient and sustainable printing, the press utilizes new LEPx technology (liquid electrophotography).

HP already has a spare parts refurbishing hub in India. It works with its two channel partners, Reddington and Technova, to distribute HP Indigo presses in the country. Reddington distributes HP Indigo presses for the commercial market, while Technova distributes the digital presses for the labels and packaging market.

Additionally, HP has announced that it will share actions to deliver on its commitment to reduce emissions by 50% by 2030, decarbonizing print and packaging through technologies and inventive collaboration.

Collaboration with Canva

HP recently announced a strategic multi-year global partnership with Canva, an all-in-one visual communication platform, to empower Canva users worldwide to seamlessly design online, create visual content, and print locally. The collaboration between HP and Canva aims to benefit both HP Print Service Providers (PSPs) and the Canva community worldwide, enabling anyone creating visual content on the Canva platform to seamlessly design and print within a fully integrated system. This multi-year deal will enable Canva users to design anything and print anywhere without compromising quality and authenticity.

“This partnership will deliver huge strategic value and fuel customer growth across both organizations,” said Cliff Obrecht, Canva co-founder and chief operating officer. “Canva, founded in 2013, has over 185 million monthly users, including 95% of the Fortune 500. Through this collaboration, the Canva community will gain expanded access to professionally printed products from HP PSPs across the globe. Canva aims to expand its print service to 150 countries by 2026, enabling shorter turnaround times and significantly reducing its carbon footprint through localized operations,” Obrecht adds.
