Vipul Organics, a leading specialty chemicals company in the pigments and dyes segment, has bagged an order from Tamil Nadu News Print and Paper Limited(TNPL) to supply blue and violet pigment dyes worth Rs. 7.15 crore.
Paper dyes is a new category of business that Vipul Organics ventured into in 2022, after spending 18 months on product innovation. SunPulp dispersions and SunDirect dyes are a result of the R&D into the segment and have been appreciated by the industry.
In addition, at Paperex 2023, Vipul Organics launched the SunIonic range of modified basic dyes / cationic dyes developed specially for paper customers that have size press as well as a series of colorants that can replace the traditional dyes in paper coating applications.
“Within two years, we have become the preferred colorant suppliers to the paper industry. It is exciting to be able to meet the requirements of the industry and be known for our innovative, high-quality products for the industry,” says Mihir V Shah, executive director, of Vipul Organics.
“This order is an endorsement of the quality of our products developed for the paper industry. We are on course to meet our target of Rs. 50 crore from this sector over the next three years. We received a strong positive response to our offering for the paper industry through participation in B2B shows of the industry. We have been busy converting our trial orders to full orders,” he says.
In India, the dyes and pigments segment is expected to witness high growth in the paper sector due to the expanding packaging and printing industries.
