At the recently concluded Pamex 2024 expo in Mumbai, leading binding solutions provider Bindwel showcased its sub-brand Sigloch, designed for the digital book-binding market. The event saw the unveiling of two machines – the Sigloch 500 and the newly launched Sigloch 150.

Sigloch, a part of Bindwel’s commitment to delivering superior book-binding solutions, is positioned as a cost-effective alternative for the digital book-binding market. Pallippuram Sajith, managing director of Bindwel-Stelda, emphasized Sigloch’s capabilities, stating, “Sigloch provides quality book-binding solutions for the digital book-binding market. It provides everything that our big machines provide. Sigloch solutions are extremely cost-effective. Our target market includes digital print bureaus, hybrid printing, and print-on-demand services.”

Sajith highlighted the growing digital print market, acknowledging a prevalent issue with binding quality when compared to the offset market. Sigloch aims to bridge this gap by offering efficient and high-quality solutions tailored to the evolving needs of the industry.

Bindwel is set to continue its industry presence at drupa 2024, where the company plans to showcase its books-on-demand solutions. Additionally, Bindwel will address the importance of standardization in educational books, advocating for streamlined processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

“We are pushing for standardization, questioning the need for so many different sizes. Bringing in standardization will usher in efficiencies and bring down costs,” Sajith emphasized.
