Meerut-based Sangal Papers specializes in colored paper for craftwork, coloring and pasting projects, posters and collages. These papers are also used in creating scrapbooks and decorative packaging. The company promoted its colored papers in a wide assortment of colors at the PaperEx exhibition held from 6 – 9 December at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida.
Said to be the only mill in India producing colored papers, their papers are FSC-certified. Apart from colored papers, Sangal Papers manufactures papers for envelopes, writing and printing papers, and stationery items such as diaries, shorthand pads, ruled pads and coloring books. It manufactures packaging and lamination papers for pizza boxes, grocery bags, carry bags and bread bags for the food and beverage industry.
Used in diverse applications, the company’s papers are transported to many countries across the world, including UK, Greece, Italy, Turkey, Spain, South Africa, Kenya, Argentina, US, Canada, Malaysia, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Middle Eastern countries, among others.
Established in 1983, the company had a colorful stand at PaperEx, adorned with artwork created from colored paper. Both buyers and visitors were seen thronging the stand to have a look at the attractive options available. Though the family-owned business started with a small machine of 20 tons, it has grown to manufacture 120 tons per day, Vinayak Sangal, director, Sangal Papers, said.
