AT Inks showcased its thermoforming UV inks at MediaExpo Delhi held from 14 – 16 September at India Expo Center in Greater Noida. “Thermoforming UV inks is a very new concept for the industry. People want customization and are looking for solutions for inkjet inks. We introduced this concept to the Indian market and found many takers,” said Neeraj Kumar Tripathi, manager – R&D, AT Inks.

We are a large inkjet ink manufacturing company, especially for solvent-based inkjet inks. We cover most of the inkjet products used for DOD inkjet printers. We are the only manufacturing company covering the majority of the products in India, and we represent all kinds of inks for use in the graphics industry.”

The company is moving toward the packaging side and industrial applications. “Product development is already in the trial stages for single-pass printing and will be launched soon,” Tripathi said.

According to Tripathi, the company is doing very well in the textile industry with dye sublimation, reactive and direct-to-fabric (DTF) inks that are available in water base as well as UV. AT Inks has its presence in all states in India and 35 countries globally, including Russia, Brazil, Argentina, and Turkey along with countries in Europe, and the Middle East. The company has been a big supplier to Russia even in the war situation.

The trends in the Indian signage industry are changing a little bit, he said. Earlier, the Indian industry was mostly dependent on solvent-based inks but now people are looking for new and different technology.

These need to be environment-friendly because of the ban on single-use plastics. People are now moving on to the fabric side and paper media, which are biodegradable as well. For these applications, the regular solvent-based inks wouldn’t work, so people are turning to UV inks and to some extent water-based inks also,” he concluded.
