DuPont Artistri, a global provider of digital inkjet inks, displayed its Artistri P1600 direct-to-film (DTF) pigment inks in India at the Gartex Texprocess India trade show held from 3-5 August 2023, at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

According to Swati Chaudhary, global communication manager at DuPont, Artistri P1600 water-based inks are ideal for DTF printers looking for professionally printed products with consistent, vibrant colors on a variety of fabrics.

The company had earlier showcased the Artistri P1600 ink at ITMA 2023, held from 8-14 June in Fiera Milano Rho, Milan, Italy.

“The Artistri P1600 DTF ink set allows for profiling with reduced ink volume, delivering both efficiency and productivity as equipment runs cleaner for longer. The versatility of the Artistri P1600 is seen in different applications, from cotton to blends and especially polyester, giving printers access to a high-quality ink product for printing on a choice of clothing materials.“

For direct-to-garment (DTG) and roll-to-roll (RTR) printing, DuPont’s stand featured the Artistri P5500 pigment DTG inks and Artistri P2500 RTR pigment inks and flushing solutions.

“Digital printing with pigment inks is gaining more space in textile printing due to minimal water usage, which means a lower environmental footprint as it does not require steaming and washing steps in the printing process. DuPont’s mission is to develop ink innovations that support sustainability in textile printing. Since Artistri pigment inks have been granted the OEKO-TEX ECO PASSPORT certification with ZDHC MRSL Conformance Level 3 as well as GOTS certification, it helps enable safer work environments for textile printers,” Chaudhary said.
