“Pamex 2015 was an extremely productive show like its early predecessors, providing plenty of time for meetings, discussions and for attending presentations, conferences and Media Port workshops. The International Technology Conference, held alongside the exhibition, was well attended on 10 December 2015. The All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) arranged a full-day conference which brought on board both equipment makers and adopters. Tushar Dhote, part of the organizing committee of Pamex, said, “This year is the 25th edition of Pamex, and the time is most suitable for hosting a conference for the print firm proprietors from the interiors of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and other parts of India.” 

Manoj Mehta, director of Manipal Utility Packaging Solutions, started off the session with a keynote address at the Pamex International Technology Conference at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC) in Mumbai. The attendees of the International Technology Conference, hosted by Mumbai Mudrak Sangh (MMS), were welcomed with a speech by Manoj Mehta of Utility Printpack. Mehta’s ‘Dus ka Dum’ were the ten commandments of print business which according to him every printer must consider while planning a growth strategy. Following Mehta, Steve Smiley, Smiley Color & Associates Global Brand Solution, presented the ways in which printers can optimize their color management tools.

A Appadurai, country manager, HP India spoke about inkjet solutions; Vinay Kaushal, director, Provin Technologies talked about LED UV technology and the ‘Make in India’ panel discussion was chaired by BMPA president, Faheem Agboatwala, which included eminent personalities such as TechNova’s CG Ramakrishnan, Autoprint’s CN Ashok, APL Machinery’s CP Paul, Welbound Worldwide’s P Sajith, LineOMatic’s HT Hirpara and Mehul Desai of MOS. Among many participants apart from committee members of MMS and BMPA (Bombay Master Printers’ Association) few other spectators included Bobst, Advanced Graphic Systems, India, Canon India, Epson India, Esko-Graphics India, Fujifilm India, TechNova Imaging Systems.
