Cosmo Films will be showcasing its range of premium lamination films and universal printable synthetic paper at the upcoming PAMEX 2017 show that will be held in Mumbai from 18 to 21 December.

On display will be velvet lamination films, the flagship product of Cosmo’s premium range. The films are engineered to lend a rich velvet finish to the printed surface. Engineered on a special matte base film, the film is ideal for rendering a premium finish to premium/ luxury liquor, perfume, watches and jewelry packs/boxes. The film can also be used for laminating coffeetable books, high-end magazines, brochures, manuals, etc.

Another product on display will be black velvet lamination films, which offer an intense black color along with a velvet touch to the laminated paper/paperboard or package, thereby enhancing its aesthetics. It is also perfect for post lamination processes like spot UV, foil stamping, printing, etc. Besides luxury packaging applications, black velvet films are also suitable for high-end promotional material and stationery such as coffee-table books, magazines, brochures, manuals, posters, shopping bags, wedding cards, gift boxes, calendars, diaries, etc.

Scuff-free matte lamination films offer excellent resistance to scuff marks, which could develop during production, transportation and handling of the pack. The matte surface of the film is also ideal for post-lamination procedures such as UV spot coating, hot foil stamping, embossing, etc. Apart from the luxury packaging applications, the film is best suited for laminating packing boxes of electronic goods like mobile phones, tablets, power banks, etc.

Another solution from Cosmo Films that will be shown at PAMEX 2017 will be digital lamination films. Regular thermal lamination films do not provide adequate bonding with digital printed surfaces containing high levels of fuser oil. The premium digital film has been specially engineered to provide excellent bonding to digital printed surfaces, along with offering excellent optics and protection. The film is available in both gloss and matte varieties.

Cosmo Films’ universal printable synthetic paper is a white opaque polypropylene-based film which resembles paper. The film is printable with most available printing technologies, including wet and UV offset, wet and UV flexo, letterpress, screen, thermal transfer and most of the digital toner technologies. It is a replacement of paper in applications where durability and longevity is desired. It is non-tearable, offers moisture and chemical resistance and excellent lay flatness. The product is available both in sheet and rolls format from 75 to 430 microns. It is suited for applications such as brochures, children’s books, posters, visiting cards, menu cards and labels, to name a few.

Apart from the premium range of lamination films, Cosmo will also be showcasing its standard lamination films at the event.
