Delhi-based Meditek Printing Solutions manufactures export quality pad printing, screen printing, and laser-marking machines that can be used to print on any 3D object. Established in the year 1998, the company also manufactures inks for printing on products from all industries — plastic or metal.
The company operates from West Delhi’s Kirti Nagar with a manufacturing unit in nearby Gurugram. In an interaction with Indian Printer and Publisher, the director of the company, Prem Prakash Kaushik, talked about the company’s beginnings and its machine lines.
“Before starting Meditek, I used to work in the medical disposable industry, where competition was tough. Eventually I began feeling the difference between effort and reward. This prodded me to start my own business. Meditek started by making pad printing machines, recognizing the need for convenient printing on all 3D objects. Our machine prints on stationeries, gift items, jewelry, home appliances, kitchenware, etc.”

Enhancing its production portfolio, Meditek launched screen printing in 2000 and laser marking machines in 2004. “Although pad printing machines are our mainstay, our range of machines has made an impact in the market. Not just within India, our products are in much demand in Nepal and Bangladesh along with a well-received response from African countries, where we trade indirectly through trade partners such as Just Dial and IndiaMart. We started trading in foreign markets around 2010. Nepal has been our biggest customer so far. We receive so many orders from our neighbor that we are thinking of opening an office in Nepal,” Kaushik adds.
Meditek’s products are known for their strength, strong construction, and long service life, he says. The pad printing machine ranges are available at a reasonable rate but the screen printing and laser marking machines are slightly costlier because of the technology invested. Kaushik plans to make them more cost-effective with further research and development.
Apart from the machine lines, Meditek manufactures ink ranges that can print on any surface. “Our specialty inks are not for offset printers; they are made for screen printing and pad printing. Our ink prints on all kinds of plastics and metals. Even after processes such as surface treatments or coating, the inks can do wonders. These inks can be used even on surfaces such as ceramics, rubber and expensive metals such as gold and silver.”
Meditek has invested in a technologically advanced production facility. “To ensure hassle-free business procedures, we have segregated our teams into various sections to deliver screen and pad printing machines on a timely basis. We have a well-equipped warehousing unit to store our offered screen and pad printing machines in a safe environment.”
Prachi Kaushik, another director, feels that with new technologies being born every day, Meditek is ready to take on the challenge of adapting and bringing the latest next-generation advancements to the world.
“Every small part is the component of a bigger picture, finely grinded and precisely shaped using the Indo-Danish and Indo-German technologies of CNC and MITR machines. Our products are intricately designed and developed error-free. Manufactured with precision and care, we aim to provide our customers premium machines and inks. Our lines can be used to print brand names, logos and products from various categories such as automobile parts, footwear, toys, medical equipment, books, garments, etc,” she says.
