Konica Minolta India displayed two print solutions and printed samples of work done on an MGI embellishment press, at the Consumer Electronic Imaging Fair 2023 held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai from 5-7 January.

We showed two engines that cater to the photo industry. One is the AccurioPress C73hc. This is an established solution for the photo lab segment and general commercial print work. The other is the AccurioPress C12000, a sort of a beast in the market that was launched recently. It boasts a heavy engine with a 3600 dpi resolution and auto duplex of 35 inches. The printer can be used for photo album printing as well as other commercial printing jobs,” said Ankit Madan of Konica Minolta India.

Konica Minolta India had launched the AccurioPress C14000/C12000 Series in India in December 2020. The C12000 is for the high-volume market and has a printing speed of 120 A4 pages per minute.

The Indian launch of the C12000 was low-key as it happened during the peak of the Covid pandemic. Now the market is fully open. We demonstrated the machine to the public for the first time at the Consumer Electronic Imaging Fair. We wanted the visitors to see the quality of the press as well as the color consistency of the output. The C12000 is ideal for printers with very high print volumes,” Madan added.

A section for print enhancement

Konica Minolta had put up a separate section where it showcased printed samples of work done on an MGI embellishment press.

We set up a special industrial printing solution demonstration zone at our stall. We showcased photo albums, wedding cards, and packaging-related print enhancement samples. This offers a value proposition to our customers as well as the end-customers,” Madan said.

Talking about the expo, Madan said the event took place at a new venue and the experience had been great. “The Jio Convention Center is a modern venue compared to the previous one in Goregaon. The footfall was very high. The expo took place after a big gap and we met visitors from across the country. Most visitors were from the photo industry but a lot of them were from the commercial printing segment too,” Madan concluded.
