Abarna Colours has installed a brand-new Suprasetter A106 CtP along with the Prinect Production Manager pre-press workflow from Heidelberg. The recent installation was completed at their 30,000 sq/ft production facility in Tirupur, a well-known industrial hub for garment exports in South India.

A.P. Murugan, managing partner at Abarna Colours, said, “The Suprasetter CtP paired with the Prinect Production Manager (Pro Man) workflow augment our pre-press division, today we save ample time in pre-press division with cost savings.”

The modular design of the Suprasetter A106 provides maximum flexibility for the medium-size print format. The patented laser system by Heidelberg for the Suprasetter provides an excellent imaging quality. Production reliability is ensured through the Intelligent Diode System (IDS). It means that if a diode fails, the operation can continue. The Suprasetter also offers a consistently high depth of focus to compensate for unevenness in the plates.

Sakthivel, partner at Abarna, added, “Last year we had installed, the Heidelberg Speedmaster CX 75 five-colour press, and this is our second installation. The bonding of the Prinect Production Manager, Suprasetter, and the CX75 brings in ease of use and boosts performance immensely. The seamless integration of various packaging pre-press processes both for mono cartons and labels, the entire range of screening options, press-presetting, color proofing, tools to enhance colour reproduction, and print quality provides the much-needed competitive advantage in today’s environment. The subscription model is pocket friendly, and we pay only for what we use.”

The Suprasetter A 106 has an internal punching system that ensures reliable production with maximum registration accuracy, reducing make-ready times and minimizing wastage, particularly for repetitive jobs. An extensive cooling system makes sure the plate setting process is not influenced by external room temperature.

Mohanraj, partner at Abarna, said, “We have our own paper production unit called ‘Punarbhuva’ which produces special eco-friendly paper and boards made from surplus garment material. We produce paper stock from 90 gsm paper to 400 gsm cardboard with an environment-friendly process. At Abarna, we use only the stocks from Punarbhuva, and we have exclusive clients from overseas who use our eco-friendly printed tags, labels, and other packaging items. We are certified with international standards for exports.”

Abarna Colours, the packaging printing specialist, focuses on packaging cartons, packaging boxes, paper covers, labels, hangtags, folding tags, hangers, band rolls.

Murugan, concluded, “With the Suprasetter and Prinect workflow, we have better integration with our Speedmaster CX 75 press, we also use Saphira plates, inks, and other consumables from Heidelberg, which gives us optimum print quality.”
