At the Media Expo 2016, Roland DG displayed two large-format inkjet printers— VG640 and SG540. The company shared its stand with its Indian partner Apsom Infotex. “The VG640 showcased at this event is a 7-color model. The printer is also available in 8-color, including white. The machine comes with a brand new head and ink technology, and new RIP software,” said Darren Penny, head of sales at Roland DG. The SG540 printer is a 4-color machine with new TrueVIS Ink technology. “We participated in Media Expo to build and grow our brand,” Penny shared.
“We see the Indian market as an important part of our business. It is a growing market with 7.6% GDP growth in the last closure— fastest in the last five years. That is a very positive trend and we expect a lot from this market,” said Penny.
“Roland has been in India for the last 20 years with our partner Apsom. It has a huge installation base. In India, we posted double-digit growth last financial year; in fact, we have been witnessing a very sustainable growth since last many years.”
