This year 13 new members are joining the WAN-IFRA Star Club of elite printers after the evaluation of the results of the International Color Quality Club 2018–2020 (ICQC) competition for newspapers and magazines.

Membership is presented to a printing company in recognition of outstanding printing quality if it achieves five or more stars by participating successfully in the International Color Quality Club or by obtaining WAN-IFRA certification for standardized printing.

One Star is awarded for each successful ICQC participation in a competition year, independent of the number of successful entries. Two Stars are awarded for the successful WAN-IFRA certification of a printing plant. Certification is valid for two years, after which it can be renewed.

Manfred Werfel, WAN-IFRA’s deputy chief executive office said: “The successful participation in the International Color Quality Club is already a great achievement. However, to successfully prove consistently high print quality over many years is what distinguishes those printers who provide their customers with only the best print products. We welcome the new Star Club members!”
