Andheri’s Shraddha Jumbo Xerox buys Konica Minolta AccurioPress C6085 Kishor Gami with Konica Minolta AccurioPress C6085

After running a successful digital print shop for many years in Vile Parle East, Shraddha Jumbo Xerox branched out to the Koldongri area of Andheri East in search of bigger volumes. The Koldongri area of Andheri East has many commercials and educational establishments such as hospitals, schools and corporate offices, among others. Kishor Gami, the owner of Shraddha Jumbo Xerox, bought a new and pre-owned equipment when the branch started operations in January this year. Shraddha Jumbo Xerox prints brochures, business cards, promotional materials and leaflets, to name a few.

“Our Vile Parle branch was small and we had low volumes. We wanted to scale up our operations and volumes, for which we needed a high-speed digital production printer, so we visited Pamex 2017 and interacted with Konica Minolta. We were impressed by the Konica Minolta AccurioPress C6085 and decided to attend a demonstration session at Konica Minolta’s Mumbai office, where we booked the order,” says Gami. The Konica Minolta AccurioPress C6085 was installed at Shraddha Jumbo Xerox in end of December 2017.

Konica Minolta displayed the AccurioPress C6085 for the first time at Pamex 2017, which was held in Mumbai. The 4-color AccurioPress C6085 has a speed of 85 pages per minute and can take maximum substrate weight of 400 gsm at the same maximum speeds. The machine is also comes equipped with the Simitri HD E toner for enhanced offset-like natural appearance. The low fusing temperature also ensures least damage to paper and results in high quality finishes and performance. Konica Minolta has also introduced ICCU unit, which helps in the auto calibration and auto registration of the sheets in production.

“Apart from the cost effectiveness of the press, the biggest advantage of the AccurioPress C6085 is the fact that it can take substrate weight of 400 gsm. This feature has given us a lot of options to work on,” Gami says.

In addition to the brand new AccurioPress C6085 digital production printer, Gami has also bought a pre-owned Konica Minolta C6500 digital press for low volume jobs as a back-up and a Xerox black and white digital printer. The finishing department too has equipped with a Polar cutting machine, a locally made creasing and center-pinning machine, among others.

“My aim from the very start was to have a well-equipped finishing section so that we don’t have to rely on third-party service providers. If we have to service our high-volume customers, we need to deliver the jobs on time or maybe before time,” he says.

Another Konica Minolta AccurioPress C6085 in the offing
Since the start of operation on 1 January 2018, Shraddha Jumbo Xerox’s monthly volumes have been consistently rising; from about 60,000 impressions in January to about 100,000 in March. If the volume growth remains robust, another production printer could be on its way soon to the shop floor.

“Yes, we have seen a significant rise in monthly volumes since we started. We may add another digital production printer later this year. We have enough space to add another AccurioPress C6085 but we will need to get rid of the other two smaller printers,” Gami shares.
