International News Media Association (INMA) will organize the inaugural South Asia Media Festival from 7-10 August in New Delhi. INMA will launch the INMA Study Tour on 7-8 August as part of the festival.

Some of the highlights of the week include two days of exploration of New Delhi media market with an eye for disruption, innovation, and growth opportunities. Travel to the media offices of Bhaskar, Times Internet, Jagran; and the newsrooms of Inshorts, Quint, and India Today. Participants can partake in presentations and discussions at these stops on topics relevant to the digital media ecosystem in South Asia. The discussions will focus on data driven journalism and smart initiatives to boost female internet users. Similarly, they will reflect on artificial intelligence and machine learning backed in-house intelligence tool to drive user acquisition and retention of users. Furthermore, the event will cover CMS and social media, aggregation models, video, mobile and new media models.

The 12th Annual INMA South Asia News Media Conference

Furthermore, on 9-10 August 2018, INMA will organize the 12th Annual INMA South Asia News Media Conference at Shangri-La – Eros Hotel. The theme of the conference, “Print Is The New Medium,” will celebrate the strength in print media. The conference will see top publishers share their evolution as they withstood technology assaults, changing consumer consumption and the challenge to bell the millennials.

Top editors will narrate their experiments with truth and discuss their strategies that lead to success. Monetisation and how publishers can leverage analytics will be discussed. In addition, panel discussions and international case studies will also take place during the conference.

The festival will bring together South Asia’s top publishers and executives with the aim to expand advertising, circulation, brand and revenue of news media companies in the Indian Subcontinent. Furthermore, the event will present opportunities to network and share the “INMA conversation” among this exclusive fraternity of newspaper executives from across the world.
