The India Packaging Show 2008, the largest Packaging event in the annual Indian trade show calendar, is being staged from 7 to 10 August 2008 at the Pragati Maidan Complex in New Delhi. The show bring together the India Converting Show, the India Flexo Show, the India Corrugated Show, the India AIDC Show, the India Automation Show, the Food Technology Show and the Pharma Technology Show. Concurrently, the organisers are also staging PackAge 2008, an international conference on packaging on 8 and 9 August 2008 at the Conference Complex at Hall 8 Pragati Maidan. Also being organised concurrently by the Association of Industrial Metallizers, Coaters and Laminators (AIMCAL) of the USA is their Converting School on 6 and 7 August. The school will feature a course on Web Handling and Converting that will be conducted by Dr. David Roissum of Finishing Technologies Inc., an internationally authority on the subject. The course fee is Rs. 12,000 plus Service Tax @ 12.36 per cent. Course details and online registration are available on both the show website and on www.convertingschool.com.
The 2007 edition of this show featured 213 exhibitors spread over 10,000 square meters (net stall area of about 4,000 square meters) and attracted 13,446 visitors. According to our information, bookings for this year’s show have already crossed 5,000 square meters of net stall space featuring about 325 exhibitors. Many running machines will be on display and several product launches are planned for the event.
